Lacquer paintings come finished in high gloss laquer ready to hang with a hook on the reverse.
"Vietnamese girl style" is a lacquer painting that is made from wood which is covered with cloth glued together with sap from a lacquer tree. After several process of relacquering, sanding, polishing the resulting medium is a high gloss smooth deep black surface. An nuumber of materials are then used to create the artist's creation such as more lacquer, sea shells sand etc.
On completion the painting under goes several more coats of lacquer which results in a stunning glossy work of art.
Lacquer painting is an extremely time consuming process and usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks to produce a small piece of artwork.
